ASME Sample Search

If you subscribe to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), you can find these standards by drilling down through the Table of Contents folders on the Table of Contents tab or perform a broad ASME search on the Search tab.

This example shows you how to search for ASME documents with the basic search tools. For instructions on using the Table of Contents tab, please go to that topic.

1. Type asme in the Document Number or Organization field and storage tanks in the keyword field.

2. Click the Search button or Enter key. Your results list shows 45 documents.

3. To refine your search, click on the Active filter checkbox, and then click Search. Your results list is now down to 14.

4. To refine your search even further, click on the Organization link under Advanced Search.

5. On the Search Filter refinement dialog box, click on ASME - ASME International and then click the Submit button. Your search list is now down to 13 items.

6. The results bar at the top of the results list shows you all of your search terms and filters. If you would like to remove a filter and return to a previous results list from this search, click on a red X to remove the filter from the search. The results list is automatically modified.
