Browsing

Browse lists are lengthy—it is useful to enter a partial term into a Search text box and then click the corresponding browse link. The Browse list opens at the point closest to the term you entered. If you click a Browse link without entering a term, the list opens at the top.

Adding Terms to Search Queries

  1. Select browse terms by clicking the checkboxes. Selected terms are listed at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click the Add Button button and the selected terms are added to the Search page.

Navigating

Page Up Button Page Down Button- Click arrows to page through Browse lists. The screen displays 30 lines at a time.

Lookup Button - Locates terms within a list, enter a term in the text box and click the button.

Go to Record Button - Click to advance to the corresponding record number entered in the text box. The total number of records contained in a Browse list is displayed at the top of the list.

If you are browsing standards organizations, you can select a browse option from the "sort by" drop-down list. Browse by the organization acronym or the full organization name. The default is organization acronym.
