Search Tips
- For information on refining searches see Search
Operators, Filters,
and Wildcards.
- You can enter letters or numbers without regard to spaces
or dashes.
- Document number Range Searching is available for MS Drawing
data. Many MS Drawing numbers cover a number range, such as "AN115401
thru AN11450 Rev 2." A search on a number within the range,
such as 115403 finds the document range, AN115401 thru AN115450 Rev 2.
- There is a maximum of 216 characters allowed per search request. When
the limit is exceeded the search will be truncated.
For example, if you enter information in the organization and keyword input
fields, and the total number of characters exceeds 216, the search will be
performed using only the first 216 characters.
Browsing Tips
- When you click the name of a Search Field without entering
search terms, the Browse
page opens at the top of the list.
- When you are browsing, it is useful to enter even a partial
term in the search text box, and then click the link on the field name. The
Browse page is sensitive to search entries.
- On the Organization
Browse page, set the Browse Order to "Organization Acronym"
to browse organizations sorted by acronym. Set the order to "Organization"
if you prefer to browse organizations sorted by the entire name.
