Basic Search Procedures

The Search page is your starting point. This page is used to build search queries. These queries may be saved for use in future sessions.

  1. Select filters appropriate to your search by clicking the Search Filters checkboxes.
  2. Enter search terms in the search text boxes. You can search by Document Number, Organization, Keyword, Military ASCII Text, and Federal Supply Class. The asterisk wildcard may be used.
  3. Specify the Document Type to search. Default is "All Document Types."
  4. If you are unsure of the terms you should use in your search, click the name of the search field to open the Browse screen. On the Browse screen you can view a list of all available search terms and choose those that you want to use in your search.
  5. Click the Search Bfutton button.

The system responds by displaying a Results list.
