SLI are non-MLI and are controlled by the U.S. Department of Commerce through the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and indicated on the Commerce Control List (CCL) Each CCL entry is preceded by a four-digit Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and those ECCNs ending in the letter "A" or "B" are defined as Strategic List Items. These items are subject to Import Certification and Delivery Verification (EC/DV) control and other Trade Security Controls |

NOTES: 1. The Demilitarization Code is mandatory when the Major Organizational Entity preestablished in the MOE Rule sable is a Military Service or Defense Agency manager recorded Primary/Secondary inventory Control Activity (PICA/SICA) (activity code AC through XC, XF through XW). 2. The Demilitarization Code is not required when the MOE Rule table is a Civil Agency (numeric activity code) PICA/SICA on submitted MOE Rule Number. However, if the Civil Agency is support a Military Service, the DEMIL Code is required (activity code of AC through XC, XF through XW as the PICA/SICA on submitted MOE Rule Number. 3. The Demilitarization Code is not required when the MOE preestablished in the MOE Rule table is a foreign country (activity code prefixed by a W, Y or Z on the submitted MOE Rule Number. 4. The Demilitarization Code will not be included in input or output for a Permanent System Control Number (PSCN). This data element will be included on output when recorded in the DLSC files. When the Demilitarization Code is not applicable, the field will be left blank. 5. Codes for Department of Energy (DOE) Special Design and Quality-controled items under management control of the Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) (identified by CAGE Code 87991) in the Defense Logistics Services Center FLIS database will be assigned and processed in accordance with DOE-DSWA TP 100-1, Supply Management of Nuclear Weapons Materiel.. 6. DEMIL Codes, H, J, K, L, M, N and X were removed from this table as they are no longer valid codes for input per DoD 4160.21-M-1. When performing maintenance actions please review these codes.
